The Gestalt in Organisational Development is an insightful, niche and intensive programme for senior leaders, managers, HR and OD professionals and coaches. The training groups are small and diverse to enable in depth, meaningful conversations and they are facilitated in a way that responds to the experience and expectations of each group and participants within it. The ‘In Practice’ and ‘Masterclass’ also include one-to-one coaching opportunities.

The programme begins with the Gestalt in OD: Core Concepts for an introduction to gestalt in organisations and progresses with Gestalt in OD: In Practice for a practical application of Gestalt principles and techniques in organisational settings and the Masterclass for in depth advanced insight and gestalt application in organisational realities. One could attend all three courses of the programme or start with one or two and come back for the masterclass at a later stage. It’s a rolling programme running in consecutive cycles offering the opportunity to join at different stages.

Programme faculty and tutors
Tony Fraser is a highly experienced Organisation Consultant and Executive Coach in the private, public and the not for profit sectors. Tony has designed and led organisational change, leadership and team development programs for some of the world’s most successful organisations. He is proficient in the gestalt approach with experience of over 30 years and is the co-author of ‘Gestalt for Managers’ and ‘The Management of Interpersonal Skills Training’.
Christina Schuierer is an OD consultant and trainer with 20 years’ experience working with both a range of public and private organisations worldwide. Christina applies the gestalt approach in her work, consulting development organisations, managing a small consulting company based in Berlin and the German office of Médecins Sans Frontières and teaching at the faculty of International Universities and Institutes.
Toni Gilligan is a leading figure in the gestalt world. A highly experienced UKCP registered gestalt psychotherapists and tutor. Toni has worked for many years with NHS psychiatric services and organisations in the voluntary sector and social services and is currently the Director of the Psychotherapy Faculty at the Gestalt Centre.
Michael Ellis is an experienced UKCP registered gestalt psychotherapist, trainer, supervisor and organisational consultant. He has been training gestalt counsellors and psychotherapists for over 20 years. Michael has a background in social work and works with teams and organisations in the health service, the private and not for profit sector. Michael also delivers the successful Certificate in Group Facilitation for therapists and organisational professionals, at the Gestalt Centre.
Jane Puddy has a background in Drama Therapy, Family Therapy and Group Analysis. She is an experienced UKCP registered gestalt therapist in a variety of social work, psychiatric and forensic settings and has contributed to the development of counselling and psychotherapy courses internationally. Jane is also an Organisational Consultant and currently delivers the successful Diploma in Supervision course at the Gestalt Centre.
John Leary Joyce, as a Gestalt therapist, was one of the founders of the London Gestalt Centre and for several years its Director. His move into organisational work centred on founding the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC), a global organization that provides a route for professionals to gain coaching mastery. AoEC is now a brand of excellence accredited by the International Coaching Federation, the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and Middlesex University. He is the author of Fertile Void: Gestalt Coaching at Work, is a founder and thought leader of Systemic Team Coaching, and certifies and supervises team coaches around the world.

Gestalt In OD: Core Concepts
Format: 2 days

A 2-day course that provides a practical introduction to the foundations of the gestalt approach as it applies to the development of individuals (including ourselves!), teams and organisations. It assumes no prior knowledge of gestalt and can be an ideal first step for anyone who wants to join the Gestalt in OD: In Practice course.

Format: 6 days (2 x 3 days)
Next dates: 23, 24 & 25 April 2020 and 18, 19 & 20 June 2020
The second short intensive course in the programme, it takes place in two blocs of 3 days.
It is designed to provide you with the opportunity to build on your existing basic understanding of Gestalt and develop your skills and confidence to apply it as a leader or professional in your organisation or utilise it as part of your OD or coaching practice.
The course assumes a basic grounding in Gestalt concepts and some organisational experience.
Gestalt in OD: Masterclass
Format: 10 Friday course days over 10 months and 9 individual coaching sessions in between.
Next dates: The course to start as soon as a group is formed. Coaching sessions will be organized directly with the tutor once the course starts.
The Masterclass of the Gestalt in OD programme, takes place over 10 days spread across the year. It is designed for senior leaders and experienced OD professionals and coaches who want to develop advanced professional knowledge, skill and insight in applying the transformative Gestalt approach in organisations. In the Masterclass, you would be building on your existing Gestalt understanding, delving deeper into the approach and exploring more complex organisational challenges for enhanced understanding and practice.
