This workshop will be offered online using an interactive video-conferencing platform and will provide a mixture of experience, exploration and information to help you decide if the Gestalt approach is right for you. It’s an ideal introduction for people considering our Diploma in Professional Development (the first course in our Psychotherapy Programme) or for people-focused professionals looking to use the power of Gestalt at Work.
Who’s the event aimed at?
This workshop is designed to provide insight and experience for people new to Gestalt. It’s an ideal taster if you’re considering training to qualify as a Gestalt psychotherapist or developing new skills in your current career in counselling, coaching, health and social care or education. It’s particularly relevant if you’re considering our one-year entry-level Gestalt course – the Diploma in Professional Development.
The event also attracts people working in management and as consultants with organisations who want to understand how Gestalt can enhance their interpersonal skills and help them to find new ways of effecting professional change.
Why study Gestalt
Gestalt uses some powerful tools. There’s a particular focus on the individual’s experience in the present moment and on the context of our experience and actions. Studying Gestalt brings greater depth of self-awareness and understanding, which can greatly improve your communication skills. It’s an excellent counterpart to many coaching techniques and also very useful for personal development.
